Circle of Security

Information Children and YMCA Brentwood are pleased to offer a modified  Circle of Security  6 – week parenting series.

The program supports  parents and caregivers to  learn and to observe and interpret children’s behavior using the Circle of Security theories.

The Circle of Security draws a very clear link between child development, attachment research, emotional co-regulation and learning.

The Circle of Security is equally relevant to families raising children of all ages. With the help of a Circle of Security design, parents will discover new ways to help their children connect, restore, and grow.

Using the Circle of Security model  parents and care-givers will further

•   Understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs

•   Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions

•   Enhance the development of their child’s self esteem

•   Honor the innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure
